About Heather

Originally born in Brandon, Manitoba, I was an Air Force "brat" who moved around a lot - until my family settled in the small town of Belleville, Ontario. I love the small town feel and grew up having neighbours just drop in for cups of tea and games of euchre.

I moved to Toronto after college, for a few years and then moved to west to Mississauga. The Oakville/Burlington area captured my heart and I've lived in this area for coming up on 20 years now. Oakville has the same small town feel that I love. It's been a fantastic town to bring up my three children and my two nieces.

I have always been involved in a career that was based upon providing excellent customer service. Through college I worked in the Food and Beverage profession, upon moving to Toronto, I worked for Ontario Hydro coordinating the relocation of staff for corporate reorganizations (and there were a ton of them!) After establishing myself in Oakville , I became a Director for an international technical consulting firm and juggled work and family.

I have always found direct client contact is where my strength lies. My clients appreciate my attention to detail, organization and commitment to quality service. I have a unique ability to understand the special needs of my client throughout the transaction … I LISTEN!

The bond between myself and my clients becomes very strong working together and I have been told I should change my motto from "Making Clients for Life" to "Making Friends for Life". The listing, selling and buying process of homes is a very personal process, and it can be very stressful at times. When the process has come to completion, my goal is to have my clients come away with a feeling of satisfaction.

My favourite "keep-in-shape" hobbie has become Dragon Boat Racing. What a blast! It's a great way to meet some amazing people; a fantastic method of staying cool through the summer and boy do these ladies have a ball! I presently belong to the Burloak Canoe Club on the Strokes of Genius and the Blades of Fury women's team. Dragon Boating is Canada's fastest growing team sport. It has become one of the best fundraising sports for Breast Cancer and other worthy causes. It is a very social event bringing teams from all over Canada and the USA to our lakes, rivers and waterways in Ontario. If you are looking for a way to stay in shape and meet some amazing people I highly recommend this sport.
